Pentagonal, Corner Notched, Side Notched,
Woodland to Mississippian, (1500-1000) B.P.
The Jacks Reef group of points are another common find in this area, my records show that they as a group represent about 6% of total finds.  This point type is relatively easy to identify once you know it's traits.
Characteristics:
SIZE :  These are small  to medium points measuring about 1" to 3", with most being around 1".
KEY FEATURES:  Pentagonal with the corner notched variant having wide corner notches. The side notched variant is called Knight Island.
THICKNESS:  Thin  to Medium with some exhibiting fine serrated edges.
SIMILAR TYPES: Madison
FLAKING:  Random Woodland flaking.
